Abstract

This research is entitled " The Influence of the Implementation of the Talking Stick Type Cooperative Learning Model on Students' Motivation and Learning Outcomes in History Subjects in Class X Senior High School number 16 Palembang ". The formulation of the problem, among others, is to see whether there is an effect of the talking stick type cooperative learning model on the motivation and learning outcomes of students in history subjects in class X Senior High School number 16 Palembang. This research was carried out on May 9 - June 6, 2022. The method applied in this study was a quasi-experimental method whose application only used one sample as the experimental class. The sample used as the experimental class was class X IPA 2 which was selected based on simple random sampling technique as the determination of the research sample. The data collection techniques in this study used pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire tests as well as pretest and posttest. In this study, the prerequisite data analysis techniques used were data normality test techniques, data homogeneity tests, data linearity tests and simple regression tests with a significance level of Fcalculate > Ftabel with a level of = 0.05. The results of the calculation of the questionnaire data obtained Fcalculate > Ftabel or Fcalculate = 21.81 > Ftabel = 4.10. And the results of the calculation of the test data obtained Fcalculate > Ftabel or Fcalculate = 32.90 > Ftabel = 4.10. Thus, it can be concluded that the talking stick cooperative learning model has an effect on student motivation and student learning outcomes in history subjects in the class of Senior High School number 16 Palembang.
